Your privacy choices

Under the California Consumer Privacy Act as amended, and the equivalent laws in Colorado, Connecticut, Virginia, Texas, Oregon, Montana and elsewhere, we do not sell your personal information and we do not share it for cross-context behavioural advertising. We have not done so in the past twelve months, and there is no mechanism on this site by which it could happen: no advertising pixels, no data broker relationships, no identifiers sent to ad platforms.

Because of that, there is no “do not sell or share my personal information” request to submit. There is nothing to opt out of.

If you submit a quote request, we pass your name, email and ZIP to radon contractors so they can contact you. That is a disclosure to a third party, and it is the entire purpose of the form, stated on the form itself before you submit it. It is not a sale of your data to a broker and it does not happen unless you ask for it.

Changed your mind? Email us and we will delete the enquiry and tell the contractors it reached that you have withdrawn it.

Washington’s My Health My Data Act, Nevada’s SB 370 and Connecticut’s health-data amendments define consumer health data broadly enough to include inferences drawn from what someone reads. We do not collect it, do not infer it and do not sell it, so no separate consent or authorisation applies.

This is the whole reason the county search runs in your browser rather than on our servers: the safest way to handle a signal like “this person is worried about their lungs” is never to receive it.

Depending on where you live you may have the right to know what we hold, to get a copy, to correct it, to delete it, and not to be discriminated against for asking. Email admin@lung.com with “privacy” in the subject.

In practice we hold almost nothing, so most requests resolve quickly: unless you have submitted a form, there is no record of you to export or delete. We will respond within the period your state’s law requires, and we do not charge for this. If we decline a request you may appeal by replying to our response.

We honour the Global Privacy Control signal. Since we do not sell or share personal information, the signal changes nothing about how this site behaves, but it is respected rather than ignored.

This site is not directed at children under 13, we do not knowingly collect information from them, and we do not sell the personal information of anyone under 16.
