Privacy commitment

• No advertising pixels. There is no Meta Pixel, no TikTok pixel, no LinkedIn Insight Tag and no Google Ads remarketing tag on this site.
• No behavioural or health-based ad targeting. We do not build audience segments, we do not infer conditions from what you read, and we do not send any identifier to an advertising platform.
• No selling or sharing of browsing data. What you read here is not a product.
• No cross-site tracking, no fingerprinting, and no advertising cookies. We use Google Analytics for page counts, with Google Signals and ad personalisation both switched off so nothing here reaches Google's advertising graph.
• No account required. There is nothing to sign up for, so there is no profile to attach a reading history to.

Aggregate page analytics. We use Google Analytics to count page views, so we know which counties people are looking for and which pages are failing them. Google Signals and ad personalisation are disabled and IP addresses are anonymised, so this measurement is not fed into advertising and is not linked to you as a person. The cookies it sets are listed on the cookies page.

Standard server logs. Our hosting provider records requests, including IP address, for security and abuse prevention, as every web server does. These are retained briefly and are not used for advertising.

What you type into a quote form, and only if you submit it. The county lookup runs entirely in your browser: what you type there is never sent to us.

The quote forms on this site are for home services - radon testing and mitigation, and related building work. They ask for your name, email, ZIP code and whether the property has been tested. They deliberately do not ask about your health, your age, your conditions or your medications, and you should not send us that information.

If you submit one, we pass those details to radon professionals serving your area so they can contact you about testing or mitigation. That is the entire purpose of the form, and it is stated on the form itself. We do not sell your details to unrelated buyers, we do not add you to unrelated marketing, and we do not pass anything to a healthcare provider, laboratory, treatment facility, insurer or medical equipment supplier.

Email us and we will delete your enquiry and tell the contractors it was sent to that you have withdrawn it.

Looking up whether your county has high radon, or what the COPD rate is where you live, reveals something. It might mean you are worried about your lungs, or someone else’s. Under some state laws - Washington’s My Health My Data Act among them - inferences of that kind can count as consumer health data in their own right.

We think the right answer is not to construct careful consent flows around collecting it. It is not to collect it. A reference publication does not need to know who is reading.

Because we hold almost nothing, most data rights requests resolve quickly: there is usually nothing to export and nothing to delete. If you have submitted a quote request and want it removed, or you want to know what we hold, contact us and we will deal with it. We honour Global Privacy Control signals.

This site is not directed at children under 13 and we do not knowingly collect anything from them.

If this policy changes in a way that weakens any commitment above, the change will be dated here rather than made quietly. Contact us with any question about it.
