What this site is
lung.com publishes environmental and public-health data drawn from US federal sources. It is provided for general information. It is not medical advice, diagnosis or treatment, and it is not a substitute for a qualified clinician. If you have a health concern, speak to one.
Accuracy
We take care over the data and document its limits on the methodology page, but the underlying figures are produced by third-party agencies and are provided as they were published. We make no warranty that they are complete, current or fit for any particular purpose. In particular, an EPA radon zone is a prediction about a county and says nothing about any individual building.
Contractor introductions
Where you request quotes, we pass your details to independent contractors so they can contact you. Those contractors are not our employees or agents. We do not perform, supervise, warrant or price their work, and any contract you enter into is between you and them. Check licensing and certification yourself before hiring anyone.
Reuse of the data
The CSV files under downloads are derived from public federal data and carry no additional licence from us. Please cite the originating agencies. The site’s written text, design and code are ours and are not licensed for republication.
Liability
To the fullest extent the law allows, we are not liable for any loss arising from reliance on this site or on any contractor introduced through it. Nothing here excludes liability that cannot lawfully be excluded.
